CHEF RYAN CARROLL
Chef Ryan Carroll is a Long Island native with a lifelong passion for local food systems, leadership, and bringing people together through thoughtful hospitality.
In a world where everyone fancies themselves a chef, Ryan Carroll is the rare thing, a chef’s chef. Chef Ryan began his culinary journey at just 14, washing dishes and bussing tables at a fine dining restaurant in Sayville. Working his way through every position in both the front and back of house during high school, he gained a complete understanding of restaurant operations from the dish pit and hot line to the dining room floor. It was there he first fell in love with the craft and culture of professional kitchens.
Chef Ryan went on to earn his bachelor’s degree from the Culinary Institute of America. During his time there he completed exchange programs at the United States Military Academy at West Point, earned his Level 1 Sommelier certification, and participated in an immersive food, wine, and agriculture program across Spain.
Over the years, Chef Ryan has worked in New York City, Long Island, and the East End, training under acclaimed chefs including Jean-Georges Vongerichten, José Andrés, and John Fraser, to name a few. In these roles he helped lead some of the industry’s most respected kitchens, gaining experience in both culinary execution and restaurant leadership.
In 2020, Chef Ryan founded the nonprofit Carroll’s Kitchen LI, an initiative focused on fighting food insecurity across Long Island. Since its founding, the organization has helped deliver nearly one million meals to elderly residents, veterans, and families in need, bringing together chefs, volunteers, farms, and local businesses to support the community.
Today Chef Ryan lives in the heart of the North Fork of Long Island, surrounded by the farms, vineyards, and waterways that inspire his cooking. He maintains close relationships with more than 70 local farmers, fishermen, and winemakers, sourcing directly from them to create seasonal farm-to-table dining experiences through his company, Wild Events by Chef Ryan Carrol

OUR FARMERS
Wild Events is rooted in the agricultural community of Long Island’s North Fork. Chef Ryan Carroll works directly with small farms, fishermen, and family-run producers to source the seasonal ingredients that shape every menu.
Vegetables harvested the same morning, oysters pulled from Peconic Bay, herbs grown just miles from the table. By working directly with local producers, Wild Events celebrates the people who cultivate the land and waters of the East End while bringing the true character of the region to every dinner.
